Here at Academic Associates Learning Center, we believe in the power of individualized learning. Each child has their own strengths and weaknesses and needs an individualized approach to helping them with math, reading, or other educational guidance to ensure their academic success. To do this, we focus on their child learning skills.

What You Should Know about Child Learning Skills

Here are a few things you should know about child learning skills to help you understand our approach.

  • Every child is different: The first thing you need to recognize is that every child is different, and this includes child learning skills. This means they will have different learning styles as well as different academic strengths and weaknesses. We pay attention to these unique learning skills and any challenges that might exist when tailoring learning sessions for each child.
  • Learn how to recognize the specific learning skills: Recognizing the specific child learning skills is essential to knowing how to best help them to find academic success. We look for things such as how they process information, how they handle challenges, what can be used to motivate or encourage them, what helps them focus, and any environmental factors that may affect their focus or learning ability.
  • Learn how to support them: Once you have recognized the child learning skills and any additional factors that may affect their success, it’s important to learn how to best support the child. We do this through a one-on-one program that is tailored to their learning skills and challenges. We give them individual attention and assistance throughout the session to ensure the success of both the learning program and the child.
