Give your child individual help with math facts, concepts, and problem-solving.
If your child can solve a math problem with you but gets stuck on the next one, it’s hard to know what to practice. You might go over the steps again, only to hear, “I still don’t get it.” A math tutor can work with your child to find out which skills need more attention.

Academic Associates Learning Center works with students from Dallas, Texas, on the math skills behind those frustrating moments. In our one-on-one sessions, a certified, experienced teacher can see how your child tackles a problem and where they begin to lose their way. That might mean going back to basic facts or spending more time on a concept before trying a harder question.
A math tutor can work with your child to:
- Recall and use basic math facts
- Understand foundational concepts
- Work through problems step by step
- Try different ways to approach a question
The teacher has time to listen to your child’s thinking, not just check whether the final answer is right. A child who can explain one problem out loud may need practice doing the next one independently. We can work on that during the session and share what we’re seeing with you.
Parents are welcome to sit in and ask questions. We offer a free assessment, and students attend one-hour sessions at least twice a week. You don’t have to sign a long-term contract or buy hours in advance.
If you’re searching for a math tutor because homework has become a daily struggle, call us. We can talk about your child’s needs and explain how our math program works.
At Academic Associates Learning Center, our math tutors serve students in Dallas and Mesquite, Texas.
