Find out where your child gets stuck and give them time to work through it.
Your child may read a word correctly on Monday, then get stuck on it again on Wednesday. And while you practice together, it can be hard to tell whether they’ve forgotten the word or need help with a more basic reading skill. Math can be just as puzzling: they follow along when you explain a problem, then can’t start the next one on their own. When that pattern keeps coming up, you may need a little more than just extra practice at home.

Academic Associates Learning Center offers education support for children in Dallas, Texas. We work with students individually, so the teacher can see which reading or math skills your child needs to practice. Our reading program uses a structured phonics approach, while math instruction works on basic facts, concepts, and problem-solving.
A reading lesson might begin with a word your child can’t quite work out. The teacher can ask them to identify its sounds and put them together, then try the same skill with a different word. In math, they may go back to an earlier concept before returning to the problem that caused difficulty. Your child has the teacher’s attention for the full session.
Parents are part of the process, too. You can sit in, see what’s being taught, and share what you’ve noticed during homework or reading at home. That conversation can make education support more useful to your family.
We offer a free assessment to get started. Students attend for one hour at least twice weekly, without a long-term contract or prepaid block of hours. Call to ask about education support and arrange a time to come in.
